Smith (1920 noted that the adults of Udeopsylla robusta Hald, occur abundantly at lights during summer, when they feed extensively on Lachnosterna beetles attracted to that area. The legs of the beetles are usually gnawed off. They also feed readily on various grasshoppers (Clausen 1940).
